Gale Force Software Receives SeaPort Enhanced Prime Contract Award

June 30, 2011 — Indianapolis, Indiana — Gale Force Software Corporation has been awarded a SeaPort Enhanced (Seaport-e) prime contract under its Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle.  As a prime contractor, Gale Force Software is qualified to bid on requests for technology products and services required by the U.S. Navy and the Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, AND NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps, and the Military Sealift Command.  The potential software engineering services that can be provided by Gale Force Software under this contract fall into the following functional areas: Research and Development Support; Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation, and Analysis Support; Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support; and System Design Documentation and Technical Data Support.  Gale Force Software was one of only two companies in Indianapolis to receive this prime contract award.

In its announcement of these new SeaPort-e contract awards, the government estimated that up to $5.3 billion will be awarded each year under the Seaport-e MAC vehicle, and that the program has a goal of awarding 33 percent of the task orders to small businesses, such as Gale Force Software, as prime contractors.

“We are looking forward to the opportunity to apply the broad range of experience we have gained in working on projects for clients in both the commercial and the government sectors to the task orders that will be issued under this contract,” said Scott Rulong, one of the founders and principal engineers with Gale Force Software.

Gale Force Software’s primary focus is on providing software engineering services to assist companies in the development of products for the medical device, facility security, HVAC, and home automation markets as well as for Department of Defense systems.  Experienced in all stages of the product lifecycle, Gale Force Software develops embedded and high-level applications for device control, data acquisition, device simulation, testing, and connectivity on Mac/iPad, Windows, Linux, Palm, or Windows Mobile platforms using an ever-increasing range of technologies and protocols.
