SmallPond™... a private, web-based, DNA-Profile matching technology.  It allows you to easily create and maintain a private, local database of STR DNA-Profile information and provides for efficient matching of new DNA-Profile data against the database to assist in the generation of leads and/or identification of individuals.

SmallPond's proprietary, high-performance search algorithm easily supports matching against 1,000,000+ DNA-Profile databases in milliseconds.  In addition to automatic matching, it allows Ad Hoc matching and supports full control over match stringency parameters without significantly degrading match performance thereby supporting broader lead-generation.

SmallPond can even perform familial searches based on kinship likelihood ratios.  This enables users to search their databases for parent/child, full sibling, half-sibling, uncle/niece, cousin and second cousin matches among their stored DNA profiles.

SmallPond supports manual DNA-Profile entry as well as batch import from the standard CODIS common (.CMF) file format.  It can be configured to automatically alert interested individuals of a match, via text or e-mail.

SmallPond's unique pooling feature allows you to share SmallPond databases with other agencies to enhance your lead-generation capabilities without compromising the security of your database.

SmallPond automatically calculates random match probabilities for matches based on the Allele counts of your database.  It also has the ability to import an unlimited number of population study allele frequency statistics for use in random match probability calculations.  It comes pre-loaded with over 500 published population studies from around the world.
